Dragos
David, last name unknown. Former head of the Pirate Clans, husband of Pirate Red, father of Carmen. Dragos first journeyed to the Frontier shortly before the conclusion of the Rigellian war, having deserted from the UEF Military. Commandeering a small ship, he made his way to a planet in unknown space, and found there an abandoned Ghram base. Finding and reactivating the technology within, he created the armor and the identity of Dragos and activated the genetically engineered Modayan soldiers.
Through unrevealed means, Dragos then returned to the Frontier, gradually assembling a fleet of starships and conducting ambitious raids on ships and planetary colonies in the developing territory, establishing a base in the debris field known as Tartarus. This fleet became the backbone of the Pirate Clans.
Dragos' philosophy was to keep the Clans fighting one another, with his own overwhelming power then unchallenged and able to keep the smaller disputes from spreading into wider conflicts.
During this time, Dragos met and fell in love with Cristina Montero, also known as Pirate Red, captain of the Alamaraine and sister of Kilana Montero. They were married and she bore him a daughter, Carmen. Carmen was later killed when, caught outside after dusk on the planet; a flock of Ravok killed her.
In retaliation for that, Pirate Red engineered a plan for revenge involving Kienan Ademetria, Toriares, and Silhouette. Dragos was poisoned by Pirate Red, who stole his gauntlet, cannibalizing its technology to design her Knuckle Buster weapon. The matter would end with his flagship, the Dark Gallant, destroyed, and his Modayan guards dead by their own hands when confronted with their leader's death.
Pirate Red supplanted Dragos as leader of the Pirate Clans, and remains so at present.
